Emcee-of-sorts actress Banks is back on stage, and is reminding delegates of the work Hillary Clinton did for 9/11 first responders and survivors.
Actress Debra Messing, a New Yorker, remembered the attacks of September 11, 2001: "Nothing could divide us on that day. ... Our shared humanity was all that mattered."
She introduces a video with New York police detective Joe Sweeney.
After the Twin Towers fell, NYPD detective Sweeney rushed down to the World Trade Center and dug through the rubble for survivors.
Thousands of police and first responders were affected by the air and conditions at Ground Zero. Sweeney says Hillary Clinton kept in touch and kept working for the bill to help 9/11 first responders.
