The Democratic Party made it official Tuesday, naming Hillary Clinton their candidate for president in 2016 – and making history by selecting the first woman to represent a major U.S. political party. Following the roll call vote, Tuesday's speakers included former President Bill Clinton as well as the Mothers of the Movement -- the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland and other young black victims of violence.

South Carolina casts 46 votes for Clinton and 13 votes for Sanders.

Rhode Island, cheers its first female Governor Gina Raimondo, casts 19 votes for Clinton and 13 votes for Sanders.

Puerto Rico casts 44 votes for Hillary Clinton and 23 votes for Bernie Sanders.

Pennsylvania, also considered a battleground state in the general election, casts 126 votes for Hillary Clinton and 82 votes for Bernie Sanders.
