Countering Fake News, One of Media's Biggest Challenges

Public, private and federally funded media outlets say journalism faces many challenges, including fake news. To mark World Press Freedom day (May 3), the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) and George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs held a forum on the importance of U.S. international journalists, defending press freedom, and journalist safety.
