Pandemic Lockdowns, Layoffs Devastate Livelihoods Worldwide

With millions of reported coronavirus cases worldwide and hundreds of thousands of deaths, the pandemic has wreaked havoc on economies around the globe. It has left people jobless, homeless and in despair. As VOA Correspondent Mariama Diallo reports, protesters in some places are demanding businesses reopen to help in the recovery.
