Current practices for wastewater treatment in Africa are insufficient to ensure safe water and basic sanitation for millions living in poverty. But a project in Kibera, one of the world's largest slums in Nairobi, Kenya, is trying to change that reality. The Human Needs Project has developed a recycle, re-use system for wastewater that it says could serve as a model for overcrowded slums. Rael Ombuor reports from Nairobi.
