Bill Clinton is now up to Hillary Clinton's campaign for the U.S. Senate in New York and her presidential run against Barack Obama, the eventual winner. And her subsequent role as secretary of state.
He's been speaking about 40 minutes.
Bill Clinton now asks: "How do you square this (his own speech) with what you heard at the Republican convention? You can't. One is real, and one is made up."
Huge cheers from the delegates.
"A real change-maker represents a real threat," is how Bill Clinton sums up the Republican speeches.
"Hillary!" chants erupt, to which Bill Clinton says, "We have to get back on schedule. You guys have to calm down."
It all comes down to the word change-maker.
Bill Clinton says, "Hillary is uniquely qualified to seize this opportunity."
