LIVE BLOG: Clinton Becomes First Woman Nominated for President

update

The Democratic Party made it official Tuesday, naming Hillary Clinton their candidate for president in 2016 – and making history by selecting the first woman to represent a major U.S. political party. Following the roll call vote, Tuesday's speakers included former President Bill Clinton as well as the Mothers of the Movement -- the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland and other young black victims of violence.

Dean ends his speech by reprising his scream, calling out the states where November's election will be won -- Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, Florida -- and he gets the biggest crowd response of the night.
